Good grief, yesterday I pulled my tires off my 2001 dually on the drivers side front and rear to check the brakes out (not easy to do when you're walkin around in a cast on your leg) and the rotors look like they're a hundred years old! Weird thing is, there is lots of pad left , but the rotors are completely covered in rust, pitted, big chunks of rust getting ready to flake off... I mean, it doesn't even look like they're getting used but once a year and I drive he thing every day. I know when I take it to get inspected next week, they're gonna look at that and tell me to bring it back when I replace it all  . The rotors just look like absolute hell but the truck braking is fine - no noise, no problems stopping. I would swear the rotors are made out of 1970's chinese steel, you know the stuff that's one step above pot metal? I've had *lots* of vehicles and have never seen anything quite as bad as these on a running vehicle.
Does anyone know what the minmum thickness is on these is spec'd? I just want to check and see if they are worth getting resurfaced. Anyone else seen this on their trucks?
