Most people want a good milage/harder rubber tire, not I.....

Wondering if the old version of the buckshot mudders are a hard or softer rubber compound? Wondering what other tires(must be an off road or a snow tire or AT) you guys consider having a softer compound. Not interested in proxys or tires like that. Load range isnt important since I dont tow. More than likely sucky tire life will be an indication. I have a few ideas but figured you guys might have some ideas I havent though of. Interested in a 265 75 16 or close to it size.

So if you guys know of any gooey tires or have had any tires that wore like crap but other than that you liked em please leme know. Its about time to buy another set of treads. Obviously am wanting something that hooks good on the strip;)

TIA:)

the old Buckshot's are Bias ply and soft rubber, great traction tho! gotta keep em rotated.
a cheaper version is the Co-Op Grip Spur, also Bias ply, great off road tire! I havent seen them up here in VA but back home in Alabama, you will see them on catfish farms.

Cooper Discoverer STT's, sticky as hell. A little pricey though. I wish the old shots were still easily available. I used to have a set of P's on my K5 and it pulled like a mule down here in the swamps. Since Maxxis bought them out they went pansy on the tread design and IMO they SUCK!!

Nitto's are great tires, you can get 265s in load E rating or in D's.
Try these guys http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireProductCategoryDetailBrnd.do?tpc=NITVA1&tp=Truck%2FSUV
$122-$123 & free shipping

I used to have Mickey Thompson MTXs 265, I think you could find them for $130-$140 if you look around. Try the tire adds in offroading magazines.
Also those tires were real good plowing & got 45,000 out of them, don't know about drag racing with them.

Get a set of Proxes, their around $100 apeice & some stock takeoffs for the strip.
Ya i know more money for 2 sets of tires, but a set for racing should last awhile.
