i have an 07 duramax with the bose system and the reception down right sucks, its worse than my 95 chevy. i guess im wondering if theres anything i can do to make it better of if im just going to have to get the xm

Make sure there is no corrosion on the ends of your antenna connections. 88-98 trucks were famous for that, maybe the newer ones are too?

I believe there were issues with the 06-07 head units and radio reception. I'd consider finding a different head unit, after you check the antenna wire, and underhood ground.

Do you have HID headlights?

i did add hid lights but they are on the high beams only and as soon as they warm up the radio comes back but its still not very good even with the hid lights off

The head unit is the actual stereo its self. I upgraded mine and now the reception is so strong that I get too many radio stations and they cause interference in the once that I normally listened to before. :rolleyes:
