i'm looking to buy new wheels for my GMC. right now it has the factory white steel wheel and looks like crap.
anyone have an idea how big i can go? right now the stock wheel is 16x6.5 and i'm running 245/75/16s. i know 265's will fit. but i'm also thinking of going to 17" wheels. any ideas?

I'm in the same position , looking at new wheels . The gray steels are starting to rust . I plan on purchasing 17" wheels ,I need to retain an E-rated tire for towing and loads . 17" tires are more common , less expensive . Its a work van so I'm not out to Pimp my Ride :D So I guess you will have to figure out where you want to go with yours . :D

Do you have the sliding side door or the barn doors? If you have the barn doors you can go with 20's, but if you have the slider, your options are limited to width. 7" is about the widest you can run on the rear without the slider hitting the tire. I'm in the same boat, here's a couple links that I've been looking at....................

The Hauler is what I think I'm gonna go with. Good Luck.
