My motor is the Jeep is tired, its got a crack in the block which i have welded but still leaks, its been beat and beat on.

This year at the tough trucks my fan fell out on a jump and i had 2 races left and i was doing well so i said F*** it and kept going. The last race the entire lap through the track the motor was pegged out at 280 degrees.

But i got first place so it made up for it.

I am looking to get a Lq4, lq9, Ly6 or L76.

Not sure which one is the best choice for all around wheeling, i would like the option of getting a supercharger with out alot of headache.

Today i am lifting to old motor and tranny out and getting ready for the new engine and Nv4500.

its going in this heap

i was thinking the same thing but i could not remeber if that thread was about the BMW motor or the jeep .

I was talking about doing an LS1 swap in the BMW, but i changed my mind on that one

Either way i know nothing about the Motors that i have listed, other than the LS1 and LT1 which i know very well.

Just throw it away and buy a new Jeep, silly.

I vote for an LQ4 or LQ9, both can be had cheap, cheap mods and can easily make 400-500 RWHP no problem.

Go to performancetrucks.net(truck side of LS1Tech), you wont find a more informative website on GM performance.

With that said get an LQ4, the GEN IV engines are overpriced for little performance gain besides the fact that you have to find a more expensive E38 computer.

The price premium between an LQ4 and LQ9 is quite a bit, sometimes almost double and if youre planning on going with a blower there really is no need for an LQ9.

LQ4, gt2-3 cam and a magnacharger is good for almost 550rwhp with a few other supporting mods and meth injection. That also just so happens to be the setup Ive got for my Z71 ;)

I may have something for you in the next few months. Providing you still have the inline 6 of course:D

LQ4, a good cam, and a good dyno tune will make great power for pretty reasonable price. Best bang for your buck IMO.
