Started truck today and 'Change Fuel Filter' is displayed on DIC. Situation is this: Fuel filter was changed less than 3000 miles ago, truck has been running great. I don't have steering wheel controls to view the fuel filter life. Question is this: is there a fuel filter monitor that needs to be reset when I change a fuel filter (because I didn't) hence the message on the DIC, or is it just time to change it again? Thanks ahead of time.

It needed to be reset- Your filter will be fine. If you can do a search on here there is a way to reset it without the steering wheel controls. I will try to find it as well and will post the link if I do!

This was my original post about a week ago:

Well since then I reset the fuel filter monitor. Display came back up the next day. Well work has been busy so I kept driving. The second day the engine light comes on, goes out the next day, then back on, still showing change fuel filter on DIC. So yesterday I change the fuel filter and reset the monitor. The engine light is staying off but the monitor doesn't seem to be resetting. I've reset 3 times now but the DIC still displays 'change fuel filter'. Any thoughts? I'm all ears for suggestions. Thanks
