I bought a XM radio in Canada and got it subbed , but I had to say I was Bill Samson ( something i made up ) from Alabama and made up a false email.
How is everyone else in canada subbing ?
I think they said they would send me a email on billing options , so i may have to do a change of email to my original in canada.
Any advice appreaciated.

Set it up and pay for it legally like everyone else is doing. Unless for some reason you can not get XM up there, then you need to complain. Not good to break the law...

I want to do it legally but I guess I can't. And I can't see how i'm breaking the law when i put the sub. on my credit card. I bought the radio from my dealer so it can't be that big of a legal problem.
When i called to activate it i was surprised and upset when they said i need a american address.
Like honestly .
All i want to know is how other canadians are doing this billing thing ?

Im sure the Sirius is the same as XM. All the Sirius rep wanted was an american addres as well. I told him the unit was bought in Canada and asked him how we were supposed to program it. He kinda laughed told me to pick up a magazine and pick out an address. I paid with my credit card and all has good since. BTW i live in southern california.................according to Sirius!

Then I misunderstood the question and I stand corrected. Maybe you can get a friend in the states to set it up for you or maybe they will take a P.O. box for an address... Sorry about that...

I sub to XM in canada. I just subbed it online. I gave them my credit card # etc and just gave them a buddies address in the US. Very simple to do.
