hey all.. new d-max owner here. after out 6.5 kinda gave up again. (injection pump.. suprising huh?) i just have a few quesitons.

we have a 05 dulley crew cab. we tow a 32 foot 7 ft high inclosed trailer (7000lbs dry) some times with my car in there its about 12k. i knwo thats nothing for this truck being that i pulled with my buddy's 2500 hd d-max. the truck pulls fine but af ew things worry me. the overheating problem.

we bought it and right away towed with it. (didnt have a choice) i'm never seen this truck heat up past 210 really. when we got it the ses light was on. something with a boost sensor or something. so when do the overheating problems happen?

with out towing whats normal tranny temps? with out the trailer its just under 200.

its going to the dealer on thursday. should i be alarmed about the tranny temp?

From what I've gathered here, it'll start overheating as soon as you put super-large tires and a programmer for an extra 90 HP on it;) .

not a problem here. this truck is staying stock for now. pulls our trailer like a animal. i dont like the bigger tires eather.

When I add HP to mine they run cooler! I have never had oversize tires either.

Don't worry too much about overheating. We seem to have it on the run. It also seems to require a "set of conditions". Just waiting for some more overheaters to test.

should i worry about the tranny?
