I have a 2007 classic and I have a quick coolant leak! How can I go about detecting where it's at? What fluid can be put in to help detect where the leak is at?

Check the engine oil to see if it has gained oil. If so could be a head gasket. Or possible the EGR heater is leaking. When it is off does the radiator hose real firm. If so I suspect head gasket there.

Turned out to be the line running into the EGR cooler busted. Dealership wants $300 to fix it and the part only cost $22.66! How hard would the line be to replace myself?

Glad you figured it out. As to the ease of repair I do not know. Never done one before so no idea. Labor sound steep to replace.

Stealership says they might have to remove the intake manifold to get to the egr cooler

Just a handfull of bolts to remove. A guy handy with tools will have little or no trouble
