Sounds like I have a knocking injector. When I have the truck at a light or stop sign it is really loud and if I put it in park it quiets down considerably. Am I right thinking It's an injector or could it be something else ?? Thanks In advance Jeff
You can turn off injectors one at a time with a tech 2. When you turn off the bad injector the noise should go away. You will know it is a bad injector that way. How many miles do u have on it? Have you noticed your oil psi dropping? Have you checked your oil for fuel in it?

I have an 04 completely stock with 40,000 miles on it. My oil pressure is the same and I watch my level closely and don't show an increase. The knock is really noticible when you are in the drive up or stopped at a light and if you put it in park you can still hear it but not that loud.
I hand calculate every tank and I have noticed about a 1 mpg drop within the last 10,000 miles, I just can't correlate if that is when the knock started or not.

I believe there is a loud knock on the passenger side (starboard side) of the engine that is normal. Can you tell which side it is from?

No I can't tell exactly which side. Will have to get someone to listen while I'm stopped.

I also had the same problem. Putting it in Park wouldn't always make the knock go away, but reving the engine slightly would cause the knock to go away. Had two bad injectors and only those two were replaced...I didn't "qualify" for the all 8 replacement. All injectors are in the +/- 1.0 range since replacement though and it has run like a champ ever since.
