I'm new here, but I think it looks horrible. It doesn't even look like a truck! I hope that really isn't it. There's a good chance its just a prototype model they're putting out there, not what the production will be.

Did anyone notice the door seam running down the middle of the bed part of the truck, I wonder what that is all about?

Can anyone read ? The sign clearly says please do not touch "Concept" vehicle

you cant tell for sure , but it is not a big truck , 5 lug wheels , I would guess this is a Colorado/s10 size truck , likley the seam in the bed is a access door to the bed. It looks cool to me but have you ever noticed most new designs look funny and then they grow on you and the old one you thought was cool looks bad later on?

Truck? interesting concept, but it reminds me more of the Honda Ridgeline thing. I hope thats one of those scraped concepts for the heavy duty segment.

I don't think that is the 07 truck I saw that truck at an auto expo in Tampa Fl. 2-1/2 years ago. It is called Cheyenne but it is a concept. The seem in the bed was a door to access things in the front of the bed and so you oculd get in the bed if you have cargo in the rear. It was a fullsize truck when i saw it and the tires were like 35's. Pretty futuristic if you ask me but that is my .02 :)

That is nothing but the concept thats been floating around for about 2 years now, that same truck was on the tv show "Trucks" about 1 1/2 yrs ago. But yes it did have the duramax when it was on the show.

Notice no hood seams, the whole front ends tilts just like a big rig. It has the very same front end a the current Chevy Equinox that is all over here in Az. This version is a 1500 1/2 ton and in time everyone will love it. It is along the lines of the next ford that is in a couple Tobie Kieth - Ford truck commercials.

Personally, I like the concept, smooth and integrated. I feel the General needs to step "out of the box" and get a little more radical than in the past. Granted, it does not have the tough look that I would need to see in the 3/4 and 1 ton segment, but that could be and should be addressed. GM needs to come up with an exciting, fresh approach to stave of the (sadly) Japanese assault on our hallowed pickup truck market. (Don't you buy no Japanese truck!).

I'm sure there are numerous design concepts on the drawing boards. GM needs to skip their interim release, and go for the throat ASAP in this market. No guts, No Glory.

That is just a concept vehicle. I believe GM is taking some styling ques from it but the new ones won't be that truck.

I don't particularly like it......but then, neither do I like the current 'Avanlache' look either. I like a HD...manly...looking front end.

Now put the 245's on it and you'll have classic GM styling......I'll go back to Ford if this is our future GM look.

I think I am going to be sick... Someone needs to take the ugly stick away from the designers at GM...

That fugly freakin` thing is a concept truck, I have read that the real truck will not be that stinken` ugly.

If it is remotely close to that piece of trash, I've purchased my last GM truck-:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t -:t

That is a concept that was shown at Detroit about two years ago. The new refresh is nothing like it.....even though the Cheyenne concept does have some cool features...

While waiting for the pre delivery work on my new Duramax last December the salesman and I talked somewhat about the new model coming out in 07. My only comment was, "Well I sure like this one. I just hope they don't **** it up". If the 07 looks like these pictures they will have confirmed my fears.:badidea: A HD truck ought to look like one. It's the mechanicals that matter anyway. Just put a workable body on it and a great interior. At the least it should have a good bumper.

I seen the concept at a show in St.Louis. We must get the leftover concepts. The entire front was like a clay mold. I'd say it didn't even have an engine. The interior was crap and the gauges were stickers. But it was big, but don't think the independant rear end is anything but heavy duty.-:t

...... but at least it has body side molding on the bed panel. Hope GM will go back to that.

If Chevy were to think "outside the box", then they should consider doing away with the horizonal bar across the grill. I think this corporate image came out on the 1989 generation truck and Chevy has gone through about four front grill design changes. It may be time to put it to rest so the designers can start with a clean sheet without that limitation.

It is just a concpet and is not a real reflection of the 07 trucks.

Speaking of the name, I personally was looking forward to changing names for our fullsize trucks from Silverado back to the old Cheyenne, as we were lead to believe was going to happen for some time. But, recent messages from GM to dealers indicate that the name change has been scrapped, and Chevy full-size pickups in 2007 and the near future will continue to be called Silverados.

How many more times are people gonna bring that picture up just because they can't read and find out what it is before posting?

It is a concept and i saw it at the international auto show I think 2 years ago. It's not a compact size truck. It was huge. Way bigger than the outgoing gm (or dodge & ford for that matter). But it's just a concept. Nothing more than that.

OH and BTW, i like how it looks.

I think Gm hired bunch of ex Toyota Engineers, They should go back to the 2001 era design, and make some other upgrades, but leave well enough alone, the truck was looking so good tell 2003 when new body lines which I kinda not sure I like. Also the interior was better for 99 to 2003, they made the glove box center consol is smaller, and no over head consol, that I have heard of. Cup holder sucks!

I know the body panels we are making for the 07 isn't like those shown above.

More like Colorado styling.

No pics since I like my job.
