my ABS light and parking brake have been coming on at the same time and figured it was time for new hubs. but after having the code scanned today the mechanic said the code it gave was for the ABS computer. Does this sound like a correct problem that can happen? I hear its expensive to fix and would rather just figure out how to get rid of the dummy lights then anything, any suggestions?

About every 20 starts those two lights stay on when I start. If I turn the truck off & on again, they will be off. Annoying as crap.

I was told it was in the dash cluster $350 to replace I told them to forget it I havent seen them in 6 months now go figure......

I had a similar problem. mine was cause by the wheel speed sensors. There was a GM recall to pull the hub apart and sand down the sensors (they got rusty) and all was good. I would also feel the ABS trigger just as I was about to stop

Mine are on almost permanently as well. Actually, they aren't just on, I know for a fact the ABS doesn't work. I did some web searching and found that a bad ground was a common problem with lots of GM trucks, and to check this before stating it is the ABS computer.

Turns out I wasn't so lucky and the ground didn't fix anything. I have left it like that for nearly a year though. Need to find a computer on ebay or something. Cheapest I found it so far was 252 bucks.
