: duramax can't handle 10,000 altitude.. g.corral 07-31-2005, 12:53 AM Every time i drive up to Tioga Lake(near yosemite),park the truck,go fishing,get back in the truck,(approx. 6hrs. later) the truck will start,run for approx. 5min., then DIE OUT!! Badger 09-27-2005, 09:21 AM My 2003 has done that at 5000 feet. After I get to camp and park the trailer, then shut off the engine, it usually will die after restarting. I just pump the primer on the filter housing until it is firm then restart.
