I've got a 2001 3/4 ton with 92,000 miles. It has stalled on me three times intermittenly on the highway. I'll be driving along and the motor just dies. I put it in neutral and it starts right back up. Everything else seems to be fine. It makes the trips rather interesting, but I don't think the people behind me appreciate it.

My first step in trouble shooting a problem starts with this site. It saves alot of time and $$, but I didn't see any similar postings.

Any tuners installed?

100% Stock. Stalls not related one tank of diesel. All normal maintenance items (ie Fuel Filter) are within interval and have been maintained on the conservative side.

Camshaft sensor is probably the problem.
There was a TSB quite a while ago about re-routing some wires.
The wire re-rout worked for me for 1 yr.
We then replaced the camshaft sensor.
Problem fixed.
