Tough call, with that kind of mileage its all down to how it was maintained and used. I had a 92 with a 350 with 315,000 miles on it and it ran like a freaking top, it sat for 4 months over the winter and when i went to start it up on a -10*F day it didnt have so much as a lifter tick. But ive seen plenty these trucks with puked motors and under 100k miles. Your just going to have to feel it out and use your own judgement while looking it over.

Offer the guy $50 less than what its worth over the scale(scrap) and that way your really not taking a huge chance.

Anything that runs is worth $500.

Dont put to much $$$ into it.

When it dies,,,, throw it away.

Like CYN said,,,, you just dont know,,,, it could easily go 500,000 miles,,,, or could puke tomorrow ( so could a 100,000 mile truck ),,,,, just one of those things

I agree, $500 and it runs and you need/want a different truck. SOLD. I've had 2 305's Both had the bodies and frame rust out around them before the engine ever coughed. Like the 6.2, cheap plentiful easy working and reasonable amount of power. Not nearly the fuel mileage tho
