i was running the edge evo cts along with an intake and a mbrp exhaust on my 2008 duramax. after a year and a half, running into tranny issues with slipping. the dealer said they would warranty if the truck was in stock condition. i removed the exhaust and put the stock back in. then i went into the tuner and went to restore it to stock settings. i went through the whole process and expected to be able to start my truck up and drive away once completed. unfortunately, it was showing a check engine light and displaying clean exhaust filter. when i went to drive it, the idle fluctuated but would not let the truck go over 5mph. on the dash it came up, engine power reduced. i shut the truck off, disconnected the batteries, zero out the capacitors and let the truck sit. i hooked battery power back up, went into the tuner, cleared the code and tried to manually put the truck into re gen but it would not complete the process. stumped, and not sure where to go next, i called edge and got a knuckle head that was of no use. desperately need help as to how i can clear this code for good and drive the truck so it will take its course and go into re gen mode on its own.

Not sure what to tell you. If the truck is programmed back to stock and everything is plugged in correctly, it should work unless you have some other issue with a sensor or something else on the truck.

I have had success with cleaning out clogged DPF's with a pressure washer. After cleaning it out I would program the truck to a power level and select that the truck does not have the DPF. Install the DPF on the truck and take it right to the dealer. Let them fix the transmission and give you the truck back to you. Hopefully the truck is not driven enough to fill the DPF before you get it back so you can install your DPF delete. They usually only regenerate once or twice a tank so you should be safe. This is just an idea, it may work, it may not.

Check all your DPF sensors, make sure all connections are clean, no pins broken or any shit like that. Once you do that, call Edge back and see what they say, I have heard of a few bad experiences with certain tech people there, but 98% of the time you'll get a very helpful person.

The transmission is slipping the truck will not run in a stock setup...how is this an issue with the Edge Unit?

You've got something going on with the electrical connections, nothing to do with your Edge unit. If you didn't properly protect your electrical connections with the DPF deleted, that's your problem. Clean them real well with spray electrical cleaner from Napa, etc. Then plug them back in. That's all you really can do. Check for pins bent, missing, broken as well. Not being an @zz, but how would Edge know anything about how to fix something that's not related to their product? It was working fine, you returned to stock, then had this issue, it's something with you stock setup (connectors more than likely). Good luck, Chris

Transmission doesn't have **** all to do with the Edge unit, if you read my post, you'd see I didn't mention that anywhere........

Something could have gone wrong when he was reinstalling the stock tune, but my first guess is a problem with the DPF sensor's electrical connections, like I said first in my post.

You mentioned that the guy you talked to on the phone at Edge was a "Knuckle Head." It seemed as though you were expecting them to fix it for you or tell you what the issue is. The fact is that they can only diagnose issues with their product. Fixing your issue ove the phone is going to be difficult. If you use words like "Knuckle Head" people are going to be less likely to help you.

Who are you talking to, me or the OP????? The OP said he was a knuckle head, not me. The only reason I commented on that part is because I have heard once or twice before that there is someone at Edge tech support that is "less than favorable". Other than that person(or those people), the Edge tech support is TOP NOTCH. That's the only reason I mentioned it, so if he called back, he would probably get a different person(better person) in case it was an issue with the Edge unit.
