Don't belong in the Cummins forum, with a handle like that, right?

Well - the '96 5.9 12v (70kmi actual) is on the ground beside the truck, and the '95 GMC 6.5TD is about to be on the ground on the other side of the truck.

Where do I get the factory manual(s) for the Dodge truck and the Cummins engine?

Already have Chilton and Haines, and Helminc.com don't speak Chrysler Products.

Tried e-bay and all the oh-so-helpful purveyors of Chilton and Haines, but no factory publications.

So..............?????

Local Cummins dealer. Any big rig facility may have or can get it. Also try here.

gmctd,
I'm currently looking at a 93' GMC 3500, cab/chassis, 4X4, 6.5td w/broken wrist pin. I want to take a 95-97 12V cummis and plant it in this truck but I need to know if it's going to fit and have room for all the goodies, turbos, CAC, and pump. Do you have any advice or specs a guy needs to check out before jumping into this?

The new-style trucks have shorter engine bay than the 80's series, so take a lot of measurements before you cut.

One good thing - the '88-up trucks were to get the small Cat six, which created the Lo-Pro with the straight front axle.
More room was needed for the big six, so a special deeper firewall section was created.

You can get a similar section outta the C4500-up trucks, section it into your firewall so you can use the Dodge factory 25" fan, clutch, radiator, charge air cooler, along with the GM ac condenser.

A little extra work, but makes the project user-friendly, with factory ac and no cooling hassles.

Yes it will fit in a 93 chevy. No prob. Hight is more of a Problem than anyting, if the trucks not straight axled. But I am shure it will still fit.

12vchevydually,
When you did your conversion, did you chassis have an automatic or 5sp? The particular chassis I'm looking at has an automatic in it, but I want to put a NV4500. Any issues there? Also the 3500 GMC is not straight axled to my knowledge it has a stock 93' 4X4 independent front suspension, how much work am I looking at? Were motor mounts an issue? Thanks, JCH.:ro)
