How much, if any, will mpg improve if old injectors were replaced with new ones on a truck like mine with 4.10's?

I caught a whiff of someone who said their mileage went from 20 down to 12, but gained it back after installing new injectors. I'm sure this guy had higher gears than I, but I'm still curious. I get about 14mpg on a tank with a mixture of city and highway, unloaded.

I have been wondering that exact same thing. I get about 14.5 doing mixed driving with "unknown" mileage on the injectors. If the truck sits a while (a week) I get a pretty good cloud of white smoke at startup. I was told tha it was probably injectors leaking into the cylinders.

There is a company in Canada selling new ones on ebay for $240 with free shipping and no core charge. Just wondering what to expect in mileage and performance.

I also have 4.10 gears.

Has anyone replaced them with 4.10 gears and seen an improvement in mpg? I get pretty consistent 15-16 mpg but get a slight roughness in the engine at idle which I suspect is the injectors I would like to know of some real improvements before I pay the expense. Also my engine sounds a bit louder than sme others I have heard more clatter which I also think may be injectors, but at the same time I seem to get 0-60 times (watch) in the 9 sec range which seems good compared to what I have heard from others on this forum, so could the injectors really be that bad with decent performance?

Hey guys just wanted to pipe in I get around the same MPG 14-15 doing around 65-70. It sucks fuel. I was led to believe that all the performance mods would give me better milage--- wrong answer---. While I do have a bunch more power no better MPG. Has anybody tried a Gear Vendors overdive unit??

I probably picked up 1 MPG after swapping my injectors. Unfortunately, though, I am going to have to swap out the pump in the future. Still trying to decide if I am that adventurous, though...
