So I searched for info abot the resonator.... Not alot i found in 6 pages of search findings..
SO has anyone actually taken it off and noticed anything??? GOOD or BAD!!!!!
Can its removal do good or harm?? I figure if it will flow a tad better with ti capped WHY NOT???
THANKS
Are you talking about the Black plastic blow molded box that sits on top of the intake tube? I took some duct tape and went over mine a few times capping it off, then stuck the box back down on top and tightened it up. Stealer won't know its there unless they remove it. Turbo whistle seems a little louder, but maybe thats just me. Try it out, see for yourself.

seems to me like it would be better without it. maybe someway to even put a plug in it.

I just did mine and put a 2" I.D. ABS plug in it. The O.D. of the plug needs to be 2 1/4". If I pretend,,,I think it did something,,,LOL! Not the improved whistle I was hoping for, but hey, its easy! Now,,if I drill a bunch of holes in the intake tube and wrap them with foam,,I have more air cleaner and more whistle,,,Hmmmmm,,,

Just take it off and enjoy the louder whistle. You'll get more whistle with a free-flow intake....and especially with an old-skool AFE Stage 2 like mine with the metal pipe. You'll still have to open all the windows and drive through a tunnel to get the max effect. I put mine on in the winter and was pretty disappointed until I rolled the windows down. Cold, but cool.
There have been a few "unique" people here that did not like the whistle (maybe they have dog ears) but the vast majority like the sound.

Plugged mine and installed the LP nozzle in the plug. For a hidden setup up, I could leave it plugged with the LP plumbed and install the resonator back on.
