Hey,
Trying to get some quick in sight on a problem I've ran into on my '04.5 Duramax. The engine is making a really bad sounding noise when I accelerate in overdrive and as soon as I let off the gas pedal w/out overdrive. It happens from a stop or from rolling speeds. Its like a quick grinding noise and then it stops. I've heard a very similar noise before from a fan hitting the shroud on another truck I had. The noise appears to be coming from directly in front of the passenger seat and slightly down. I have taken the truck to the dealer and they said it was normal. Somethign about the turbo releasing pressure. I have 13 LLYs in my companies fleet (one set up just like mine program and everything) and it is not normal. I have never heard this noise on any of these and beleive me I've tried. This truck has a Bully Dog power pup programmer set at 90 HP, BUlly Dog intake, Bully dog exhaust (still have cat for now), and Bully Dog outlook monitor (which went out at same time, but don't think is related). This is all the info I have to give and really need some ammo for when I go back to the dealership tomarow. I still have lots of warranty left and want this crap fixed. It's kind of bad when your 40k$ truck barks in traffic and people look at you like its about to fall apart. PLEASE post some info for me. Thanx in advance -nate-
