Is there a way to unlock all doors with the remote by clicking "unlock" once instead of waiting and "clicking" twice? I always seem to not wait long enough or wait too long and have to start over again. PITA ! when carrying groceries and such.

I think all GM cars are wired that way. My Buick was. I think you have 2 seconds and I've never seen any way to override that. If someone does know, I'd be interested in doing that too. It seems like there should be a way to do it because you can program them all to unlock at the same time when you put it in park.

I don't know if it is something they can change with a Tech2?

I have a remote start on my 2004 that uses a data bypass module for the security system. This module also controls the door lock/unlock for the remote starter key fobs. The module has the option to unluck all doors with single press of the unlock button. If I use the keyless entry fobs that came with the truck, I still have to press the unlock twice to get the passenger door unlocked.

SmoknDmax, most likely your installer could change that to unlock all 4 with one press. Every one I have seen has had that option and that is always the way I set them up.

I just start to unlock the doors when I am 25 feet away, two clicks and boom, doors are unlocked before i get there.

It gets annoying sometimes, but I like the safety feature. If only the drivers door unlocks, no one can get in on the other side.

Remote Start. Best $300 bucks you will ever spend and lock all 4 at once...

Max Power....you must have misunderstood my comments. If I use the factory key fob I have to press it twice to get all the doors to unlock.

If I use the remote starter key fob (that you sold me) it takes one press to unluck all the doors. In my case it is only two doors (extended cab), not 4 doors.

Smokn, yea I have a remote start also, guess I'll go see my installer to see if he can program all open w/ 1-click. Thanks ....what a plethora of knowledge on this forum. :ro)
