i usually run my truck on the performance program but the other day i turned it to tow/haul to pull a lowboy loaded with fourwheelers. the truck ran strong, shift smooth, and got very good fuel mileage. plus the engine light never came on like it does on performance, since i put the egr blocker in. can i leave it on tow/haul all the time? i really think it runs better than performance. i turned it back to performance but i really like the tow mode. will it hurt anything?

Ive heard of other people running tow mode all the time. I usually run mine on level 4, gets the best fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of it and all that power is there on command for when idiot drivers piss you off, you can cover em in smoke haha. Ive never even used level 2 or 3 on mine. In fact I even tow with mine on level 4, probably not the best for it....

i ran mine on level 4 for a few days but on the interstate it seemed like the truck would go limp when downshifting when i pressed the throttle. affraid i was goin to burn something up. is it safe to run on level 4 for daily driving?

Depends on how you drive... If your treating it like a zr1 then ya it won't be good in long run. But for casual on the throttle and cruising you should be good.

X2, I try to keep my foot out of it for the most part. A friend of mine has an '08 LMM with a Edge Evo Racing and he keeps his on the top level all the time, no problems so far. He has had it since they came out with the racing programmers.

I watch the Fourth to fifth gear shift, so thats when i take it easy. But when the truck is in fifth and torque convertor is locked, you can get going pretty good .

Go to Custom Tunes and pick your deal you need. It has all the info you could ask it's the way to tune a truck. You will not regret loading it once you figure your options out and use it. Dyno for stock baseline numbers and then to see your end numbers to see your butt meter match up. Sold my canned tuner and I carry a scanner to check and clear codes for if it happens times---------

As long as you keep an eye on EGT and drive with some common sense, you won't have any issues.
