The receiver on my 2004 2500HD Duramax, when viewed from the side,is angled upward, which causes some problems in setting up the weight distribution hitch I run.The stealer is still looking into this, but no response yet, anyone else have a problem or noticed this??Anybody willing to check theirs and post back?

I've not noticed anything, I've got a 6' pc of 2" tubing that I made to haul 17' canoe or 16' lumber and haven't had any trouble .
I've had over 10 HD2500s and all have been close to parallel w/ ground.

Mine is fine. My Resse Strait Line set up was no problem.

Thanks for the info it gives me a little amo,I expect the stealer to try to convince me that it's within spec, but I have to angle the head on my reese straight line all the way down(to compensate for the receiver angling up) just to get five links(which is minimum requirement) therefore leaving me no more room for any addtional adjustment.

A lot of us who tow big trailers have pretty much replaced the GM hitch assembly. Putnam Class V hitchs just bolt on, Reese Titans require some drilling. Either one is far more stout than the GM version.

my stock hitch on my 05 seems to be angled down in the back. i dont know if it should be that way or if i have bent it. i havent pull more then about 8000lbs with it.

I've had over 16K tied to mine and it's fine, lots of tongue weight too.
I'd say it's just been fabbed wrong.
If the dealer wants to squabble, put your hitch in another truck on the lot and see the difference (make sure it's straight).

Thats odd I never remember drilling on any of the 25 Titan hitches I have put on the Chevy's.

The stock hitch on my '02 Duramax bent badly with about 1200 lbs hitch weight. Don't expect to overload the factory hitch or it may fail! I went to a 2 1/2" Reese.
