I plan to pull next weekend and I pretty much got the answers I needed from you folks. Thanks very much. My plan is to lower Tbar's, clamp rears, Max the Predator, take front tire pressure down to 30-40, weigh the truck up to 8500#, run 4 low in 3rd (have an Allison) and run the truck through the gears 20-30 times to set the tranny. I don't have a lot of experience with the Predator, and what I haven't picked up is whether I should put the truck in tow/haul mode. Or will that mess up the Predator settings. Also when working the tranny through the gears 20-30 times as suggested in another thread, should I be doing that as hard as I can, or will just putting it through the gears be good enough. Again thanks for all the info. Please add what you can here.

Put in T/H and try it out, be careful on the 5th gear shift or let off before then.

Since your in lowrange pulling it should shift OK.

Run T/H and if it doesn't get the rpm up in 3rd or it starts to bog at the end turn the T/H off and the unlocked convertor will get the rpms back up.

Do u have an offroad place to play?
Put it in 4low and stand on it and see what happens, u may want to start out easy on the pedal and work up from there.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I forgot to ask one question. If I learn the tranny in t/h at home then drive to the pull in street mode, does the tranny then lose the learning process? Therefore when I get to the pull I should run it though a bunch of shifts again in 4lo t/h mode? I'd appreciate any other comments about my set-up, if anyone has them. Thanks

Keep it in the full power setting and it will still be ok.

I don't see other trucks doing it, so go out and have fun.
