The ABS and the brake light go on and off on my wife's 01 Tahoe. Anybody give me any ideas as to what is wrong and where to start?

you could try checking the abs sensors at the wheels. if they get pretty dirty it could be a cause of the lights coming on.

or one of the sensors is bad. you may be able to find out which one if you scan it for codes.
