You've "heard" from the tiny handful of people on this forum who happened to have bad luck with their LLY's, so duh, that must mean that LLY's have head gasket problems.

Its bad luck on their part, purely freak occurrences.

LLY head gaskets arent any weaker then the rest. However the LLY's are the most prone to overheating, so maybe thats why you see more LLY head gasket failures??? I have beat the crap out of many LLY's with big turbos, big tunes, etc and never had a problem with the stock head gaskets.

In general, dont worry about it. Duramax's are very good with head gaskets. Early 2001 trucks had some problems but they fixed it and it has not been an issue since.

Any of the 2002+ head gasket failures are just bad luck. You're fine. Run whatever you want and you'll be fine. Its been proven many many times you will shorten a rod, crack a piston, etc way before you blow a stock head gasket on an LLY.
