I was wondering what the width of the forged aluminum stock rim was. I have a 2005 2500hd cc d/a LT. I really like the rims but want to bump up to the 265/75/16's Revos. Some people say it will fit fine others say a little tight. Just a thought, I went to tire rack and looked up my stock tires 245/75/16 bridgestone r265 highway rib. I thought it interesting that on the spec sheet it said this tire was fit for a 7" rim. If thats the case and the stock is only 6.5 I will not hesitate to move up. the 265's were fit for 7to8" rims. I am also not opposed to going with the 245 revos. either would be an upgrade. Thanks

the rims are as you said 6.5 inches wide ,but tire manufactures give you a prefered rim size, not a written in stone size, I have ran 285,s bfg and 285 cooper,s and so have many on this site , on factory rims, 265,s will fit just fine,

I have Michelin 265's on my PYO 6-1/2" wide rims with no problems at all.
