I finally decided to post this up. We have an 01 reg cab ZF6 that we purchased right that had a dash fire and my brother has a 67 K20 4x4. The plan is to pull the 01 body off and replace it with the 67 body and solid axle it. We were just going to use the 67 frame but have decided it would be too weak.
Here's pic's of the the 01. I'll see if I can find some of the 67,

Haven't really gotten started yet. The weather is still warm so we're still working on stuff outside. Will post up when we start into it full swing .

The body is almost off. Next we'll have to fab new body mounts. Fortunately my brother picked up a CNC Plasma table last fall :D.

I would have used the k20 frame and boxxed it. All the suspension mounts for up front will still be there, body mounts, the such. Less work fabbing IMO

None the less, I'm sure it will be awesome!

Been there done that ;). Had a Cummins sitting in the 67 K20's boxed frame before we decided to just do a cab swap. The 67 frame is just weak even with being boxed :(. The newer frame has all the fuel lines and fuel tank and rear suspention and such we want.

Borrowed the rear end out of it for my 01 a while back. Hope to get going again the next few months.
