FWIW, I had both fronts fail after 24K miles and replaced under warranty. The drivers side went first, when I noticed the front bouncing more. I pulled it off and it seemed to have a clunk at full extension and a loss of damping. I put it back on and had the vendor to send me two replacements. By the time I replaced them the passenger side had lost most of its compression and rebound compared to the new ones. The drivers side was totally shot and leaking a little.
Also noticed the new shocks are not the same as the old ones, even though the part numbers stamped on them are the same. The new ones have some indentions near the top. Extended length is the same. I know it might be the placebo effect, but these new ones *feel* a lot better.
