Code: B0408 Modules: HVAC Control Module Description: Temperature Control 1 Circuit
Driver side throws out warm/hot air with temp set at 60. Passenger side throws out 60 or whatever temp it is set at. I can reset the code with EFI Live and driver side blows fine for a few minutes then starts blowing warm/hot air again.

My question is....Is the unit going bad or will the HVAC update with TSB# 06-01-038-003 cure this problem or what is my course of corrective action for this problem??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Took the truck into the stealership and had them look at the unit under the TSB

Had the above mentioned code as well as B0414

Reprogrammed the unit but unfortunately it didnt cure the problem. estimate of 350.00 out the door to R/R actuator. I'll wait until next summer before worrying about it. The $37.50 for half hour labor kinda upset me since I figured it should have been no charge since there is a TSB on it.

tsb are just information for the dealer. Nothing else. A recall is when a customer doesnt pay.
Someone has to pay the tech to work and a 1/2 hour is very fair, 37.50 is dirt cheap as most dealers here are at the 120 plus per hour range.

Yeah I got to thinking about it once I left just at the time it was a little aggravating especially when I called and told them exactly what was happening.

Now at least I know EXACTLY what I need to have cold air next summer.
