Okay, this may seem strange, but I am contemplating swapping my broken 6-disk bose for a single disk bose head unit. I am to the point where changers always seem to break on me (a lot of rough dirt roads), and am tired of having to break stuff open to get my CDs back. I have thought about going to an aftermarket deck, but don't want to. It seems like it would be an easy task, and would probably require reprograming at the dealer to get it to work, which is hopefully no big deal. My truck is a 2004 Chevy LT 2500hd if it matters. Does anyone have one of the single disk units laying around they want to sell, or for that matter know the part number so I could order a new one off of gmpartsdirect.com (or another source if you have one)?

Thanks!

I have a CD/cassette unit from my 03 GMC. It had Bose. I think all you would have to do is have the unit re-VINed. It has some slight flaking on the power button, but it worked perfect. I went with the LUX amp/6 disc setup. PM me an offer.

Will do as soon as I make up my mind on which route to go, thanks for the offer and I'll let you know shortly.
