O.k. I am about to start working on my exhaust this week. On a stock LMM "if" I just had the cat gutted ...........would it set off any codes for the dealer if the DPF was on there ?
Because............I am planning on gutting my LLY cat off my old system and using the cat to muffler portion of pipe off the LLY to make a DPF delete system for my LMM. I am going to order a KD Econ/tow tune to delete the codes. I am just wondering "if" I need to take it back to the dealer for some reason, if I could install the just the DPF and stock ECM back in and leave the gutted DOC/Cat on the truck .
I know the big question is why............well it will save me some money, look stock, stock muffler should be quiet(I have had a full system before), hopefully be easy to put back to stock for a dealer visit, and I have the time, tools, and help availability to do it right now. I would just do a DPF delete but I don't see any reason to not gut or ditch the cat at the same time.
