: what size lift for 35's?
Turbo6600-HD 07-27-2005, 02:21 AM Hey everyone, what size lift do you think i will need to fit 35 x12.50's on a 05 2500 gmc 4x4, i think a 4 inch would look great, not too high and not too short but i am not sure if it is enough to clear 35's.
For any replies thanks in advance...
Mike
Gotlift 07-27-2005, 02:26 AM 6" min. I've got a 01 cclb and still rub a little bit torsion bars cranked all the way.
noproblem 07-28-2005, 01:56 AM 6"
04d-max 07-28-2005, 08:54 AM I just fit a set on hummer H2 wheels with no lift.

WhippledHD 07-28-2005, 09:58 AM To get the most out of the 35's and not have to worry about rubbing, 6" lift is the way to go. Lifts like the RCD and Fabtech really give you 5" to 5 1/2". You really have to crank the t-bars on a 4" to clear them. Yes wheel offset has a lot to do with it but the standard is 6" for 35's.

Turbo6600-HD 07-29-2005, 02:15 PM ok, thanks for the replies guys :D
bigwhitehd 07-30-2005, 04:10 AM nar is clearing them pretty good with a tb crank, he might have a bl too, i like the stance of his truck pretty good
BestNThDez 07-30-2005, 12:55 PM WhipledHD, when you say that RCD and Fabteck give you 5" to 5 1/2" of lift, do you mean that they are both short of the claimed six inches and there are better/true 6" lifts out there, or are you saying they are the few that go the highest of all the 6" lifts out there. I want a 6" lift, but don't want to crand the TSB's.
bigblockquad 08-01-2005, 02:41 AM 4 inch rancho will clear 35's no problem with a rim with correct backspacing. Been there done that.

Stick with the 6" You WON'T be dissappointed!
_nar_ 08-01-2005, 06:48 PM 6 inch lift if you can afford one. Massive fender hacking and torsion bar crank if not.
I would run a 6 inch RCD or a 7-9 cognito if I had money to do it. Also I wanted my truck to stay low so it was easier to work out of, but have clearance and traction. Hard to get those 2 together but so far I have.
noproblem 08-01-2005, 09:46 PM here is both of mine with RCD 6 and 325's on 18x10. The picture is small, but you will have to do quite a bit of triming even with the lift. If you want to see pics send me your email and I will send you some.

gibby 08-02-2005, 11:46 AM IF you check out the Rancho 4", www.gorancho.com , they claim that you can get 35's under it.

It also says this in the fine print....
Installation of the 35" tire (max tire Dia) will require some trimming of the plastic front air dam/fascia area).
Kappa9012 08-02-2005, 02:24 PM I had to trim slightly to fit my 35's as well. ProComp kit claims 35's clear, but I still at full lock when the truck gets articulated just right.
