Hi Guys
I have a little dilema on my hands, I have a `04`Sierra 2500HD Duramax that is losing about 3/4 gallon every 6 months of coolant. I sent an oil sample away to start there and see if it was in the oil. Well there was an abnormal amount of coolant there. But more to my surprise was the Extreamly high amount of Fuel in the oil sample (the truck was due for a oild change at time of sample)
So I assumed the Fuel was comming from the "known" injector failure and the coolant possible from the injector sleve above the cylinder head. I took the truck in to the dealer because I knew it was still covered (well the injectors anyway) they did there diagnostics and said it was not the injectors that are faulty.
By the way no loss of power, smoke at idle no signs of cracked injectors
Not sure where I should go from here, they want me to bring it in so they can take it apart... not sure this is a good idea not knowing the costs involved. Any suggestions?

Sounds like injectors to me, as for the coolant, another possibility could be a bad waterpump. See the pump is gear driven off a gear behind the front engine cover, so if that little seal starts to go, it will leak inside. Mine was the seal on the outside thank goodness

Just a thought, I have been known to be wrong
