My mechanic just changed the 4 driver side injectors. (Have to do the other side later.) Anyway, after he got it back together, he noticed the oil pressure gauge wasn't working and the "Low Oil Pressure" light came on in the DIC. He changed the oil, refilled it and it's still on.
Any opinions? Bad gauge, sensor, other???
Thanks

I've been having the gauge issue common to the 03's. Start it up and the gauges take a while to come on. When they do, they're all on. Would one fail without any warning? If so, would it cause the DIC warning to come on?

Mine failed as well 03 gmc. Driving home the other night, looked at the gauges .. oil gauge read Zero. do I keep on driving? I did as if I had no Oil pressure the motor would have been toast already.. had the sender changed the next day.. plus 4 bad glow plugs.. I did not get a warning lite or anything from the DIC. engine still on for the glow plug code. now I need a Glow plug comand module,,, and thats not under warranty...

Got good news today, it was the sensor. $100, but could be worse.

Put in the sensor, that wasn't it. Manual gauge reads normal, dash gauge looks dead. Driving it home today, it went up to 60, bounced around a little and died again.
