I have a cone type Magnum Force AFE filter kit and I was wondering about reoiling. Its a pain in the ass for one, but how much oil should be used? The gold colored stuff is hard to see and I used about half a can and it just don't look like they do from the factory. It used to be blue but that oil color lasted about 4,000 miles then it turned white. I am thinking that this kits going to be more of a pain in the ass then its worth, but I don't know. If anyone has any feedback, please tell. I mostly wanted to reoil it, no more oil seemed to be there. Thanks

I use the pre filter and that saves me cleaning the main filter often. I remove the pre filter and wash it in the sink, shake it dry and reinstall it (wife not happy but I am). I use the blue oil and you should just use a lite coating, not allot.

Say Monty, where did you get the pre-filter, I need one? Also, can I use any brand of filter cleaner/oil on the Pro-Guard?
