What will you be doing with this truck, that would be my first consideration.
I use mine for work but do not need an 8 ft bed, I also have 3 kids so I bought a crew cab short bed.
As far as I know the running gear is all the same, with the difference being the bed length and 2 or 3 stage rear springs,
Towing and payload for GVWR is very close , obviously for towing a dually is the way to go, but do you really need a dually ????
Good luck to you,http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I live in Northwest corner next to Boone. I will be doing some work and have a awesome looking truck. I have fixed up some great looking trucks in the past and I research all I can to get the best look and best performer.

I haven't seen one, but a coworker ordered one two days ago. It should sit a little higher due to the fact that it will come with 265/75/16 tires instead of the 245/75's on my truck. From the info I have been able to round up about the SRW 3500, the differences between it and my truck are as follows:
265/75/16 tires on 16x7 steel wheels
overload springs(increases gvwr to 9900# - mine is 9200#, IIRChttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif)
bigger brakes
High idle capabilities from the factory instead of having to add it yourself
Oh, and the updated dmax and upgraded allison to handle the extra power
It seems like I am forgetting something , maybe someone will chime in with whatever else there is.Edited by: flhrciblueice
