Last week had the P1093 on decel for the first time, had the dealer check it out this week, nothing wrong. I haven't had another P1093 (decel or accel), but now I have a stuttering or hesistation @ WOT, usually starts aroung 65-70mph. So I'm considering a couple possibilities...the high pressure valve is letting fuel out of the rail or I need a lift pump (or both). Any ideas??? The truck is fine stock so the tuner causes the problem.

how many miles on your fuel filter?

Just changed it last week when the 1093 showed up. I usually change it every 10k

Start with a fresh fuel filter. Next consider getting a lift pump. Last do a search on P1093 and shim.

Lift pump won't hurt, but I never got a P1093 before installing mine. That was with the Pedator and VA set to kill all the time.

Guess I should clarify on the filter, the P1093 showed up, then I changed the filter...it was due. Would the hot weather have an effect? I have run the Predator for quite a while on 65 or 85 with no problem. The first time I had it happened was a hot day last week
I see Carter in the sig(s), is that the way to go???

Fuel temp does seem to affect the relief valve operation in my testing. Search 1093 and read previous posts. Tim

1093'd it on the 40HP setting today...Once again stock runs okay. I think I'll replace the high pressure valve and see what happens...driving stock is killing me, I even went and test drove a Cummins today thinking I may start over again somewhere else...arrggh

Neither a "tuner only" Ford or Dodge can keep up with a tuned Dmax.

Do the filter again (you may have gotten a bad tank). Normally tunes less than 100HP will not 1093. Even the Predator 100 doesn't 1093 very often with a clean filter. Maybe once a month.

I am not so sure that is true. My buddy has an 05 4x4 CC Furd PSD 6.0. He is getting an SCT tune from innovative diesel and it will run 14.3 in the 1/4 with a stock trans all day long. All for $400.00. The SCT tune can tune the trans. and the motor. I don't know of many Dmaxes that get those numbers off a single tuner and a stock trans. And a Furd CC 4x4 weighs in at around 7700#. Just a FYI.

I would rather have the Dmax anyway!! You can get more out of a Dmax in the long run.

Not to be an ass ):h but since you said he is GETTING this tuner I must say you have a pretty good nack for predicting the future! Apparently you know someone else, other then the manufacture, that actually has the tuner installed?

Bring it on. I ran 13.9 on a stock trans.

I recently spanked a SCT 6.0 (the Wood shop truck) with Big Blue. At the dragstrip. While you might THINK it weighed 7700, it was probably 6500. Big Blue really does weigh 7500 with me in it.

I was running 14.2's all day long on a predator 100hp with stock trans. That was at 3000'.

I researched it with him so he could get a good tuner for his truck. I know what it is going to run. I have talked to a lot of people on this SCT for his 2005. The only thing I haven't found is someone that has tore their trans down after using SCT trans programming to prove that it saves the trans.

I was only making the statement to show that Ford does have a single programmer that will run with a Dmax with a single tuner.

mcrat... I was at the same cat scale and weighed my truck at 6970# w/ me in it when the 6.0 weighed in at a stock weight of 7700#. I ran a 14.3 with my edge on 5/5. Did you run a 13.9 in an LLY with one tuner and no other mods? Didn't think so!!! If you remember, you are the one that said "Neither a "tuner only" Ford or Dodge can keep up with a tuned Dmax." I don't think that statement is true. The SCT tuned 6.0 will indeed keep up w/ my tuned Dmax. The SCT tuned Ford might not need trany mods either. Only time will tell. My Dmax does need trany mods!! (Coming soon!)

The intention of my post was only to show that the Ford guys can get some decent HP out of the 6.0 and can run decent 1/4 times with a cheap tuner. It is a fact. The Dodge CR guys can't do it. The Dmax and Ford can. When it comes to all out performance mods and dropping serious $$$$.....the Ford is not the way to go. No matter what my buddy does to his Ford..I will make damn sure it never beats my Dmax. You can take that to the bank!! I will post all of the numbers on the Ford to prove my point at a later date. If I am wrong, which I have never been):h (ask my wife!), I will post that too. My  Rant: rant: is over!!!

Here is some good reading on the Ford 6.0's. Makes you think when you pull up next to the next Ford:ro)

My GMC p!ssed (this was the straw, amognst many other issues) me off enough I'm now the proud owner of a 2005 Dodge 2500 SLT 4x4. Guess I can't complain too much, they paid me what I owed on the GMC after only 1 year and 35k miles...

It's possible, even though I didn't achieve it. Came close with a 14.14 on stock trans with a single tuner with a 2.1 60ft. time. That was the last of my stock trans days.:(
