So I've searched the forum and I didn't find anything that really answered my question. So what turbo would be best to buy to tow with, and not upgrade a whole lot of other stuff on the motor.

the best way to answer this question is give a price you want to spend. i can tell you a bunch of different things but they can range from $1800 all the way to $7000 plus.

Don't forget the 4094 ANVT, it's a direct drop in replacement for the 04.5+ trucks.
