Hi Guys,

I've been looking at the new truck, and I have a question.
The hole cut out just above the licence plate is for some sort of a cooler (mounted behind). Its either tranny or oil cooler I think.

However ... I've taken a closer look and IMO the fins of that cooler will take a lot of beating over time. Has anyone thought of putting some sort of low restricting mesh to save the life of that cooler? If I would buy the truck it would be my first priority.

Yes I have thought about it. I figure the aftermarket will soon have a nice one out.

Temporarily you can use an inexpensive bug screen.

I don't know who you are Mike (I'm relatively new) but I think you're an alright guy ;) ... keep working on it.

I've looked at the t-rex grilles and they are ridiculously overpiced. I think this is a good bet. I will be making something of my own for 1/10th of a price of the T-Rex grille. I think this might be a solution.

looks like a good idea to me... paint it black and set it back closer to the cooler and it will still look like its gonna eat you 'and' save you from rocks....

Just spray paint it silver or black, whichever you prefer

I purchased one from Cloudrider Products, stainless steel with round holes, around $48.00

I just checked with CoudRider and they say the lower cover is about $110? What dealer did you use?
