I am installing a DVD player etc right now in my truck... It is a normal radio size 12 volt one but I am not sure where to mount it. Looking for ideas (bench seat). I also have a question as to where to pull ignition power for turning the system on and off. I will pull regular 12 volt directly through from the battery. I am thinking to install a carpet covered peice of MDF with a couple of peices of aluminum holding it in place from just below the back window where I can install amps and the fuse blocks and the video switcher. I want better access to the DVD player however and am looking for ideas. Up also does anyone have any experience with threading cables through the seat covers? Hard? is it important to put a caseing over the cables if I am running them in pillars and under carpeting? how about in the area where the seat hinges... I dont want stuff wearing through and shorting out... Never done this before but I am pretty handy.
