I've read on here for quite a while, and I'm seeing conflicting information on which way is best. I don't care about power increase. I want NO DROAN!

Is the air supposed to flow into the scoops, or over the scoops?

According to MBRP's instructions, the flow goes over the scoops.

Thanks for the help.

Quieter ............into the scoops. Louder and the minimalist most hp........over the scoops.

Over the scoops. I get no drone but still sounds good

The lady at MBRP was completely confused as to the "scoop direction" because apparently they look the same on each end. She said to make it the quietest, make MBRP read correctly on the passenger side.

That would put it with the exhaust flowing over the scoops, same way mine is.

out of 100 customers very few have ever complained about noise in the cab. even while towing. i can think of two ppl off the top of my head and they are more particualr then most and wanted it quieter than factory- over the scoops is the way i would go

Did you try to reverse the muffler for the "more particular" ones?

I just finished installing mine and was wondering the same thing. Currently the muffler is installed per the instructions over the cone. I'm wondering what it sounds like into the cones. Mine has a real low flo-master type rumble to it. I might crawl back under neath it in the morn and flip it.

Please post if you do. Thanks.

Well I did some experimenting this morning.I turned the muffler around cones facing turbo and there is still the low rumble at idle. I did notice that it does sound better(less rumble, more turbo) while driving. Just fyi.
