Just was thinking of something. I still have my original cat from my LLY. Can I bore it out and sleeve it to use as a cat delete on a LMM ?
Actually if it will bolt up to the turbo I can probably make a dpf delete of the stock LLY exhaust pipe too .
Anybody think it would work ?

The factory exhaust will more or less bolt over from 2001-2010 with maybe some minor hanger adjustments from what I have seen.
It's all a matter of how much work you want to do to get it back to stock appearing for warranty concerns.
Personally I prefer teh DPF test pipe and ECM swap.
Heck my 2007 still has stock exhaust, runs swiftly, excellent MPG, tows anything I put behind it and is super quiet to boot. That's all I need...
Thanks John. It's not so much of an appearance thing as just to save some money. My father in law loves tinkering and has a lift and welding equipment and all. I am going to play around with my LLY exhaust and see if I can get it from the turbo to the stock lmm muffler. I still want it to be quieter than my LLY was with a full MBRP 4" exhaust.
If I can get it worked out I am going to shoot you an e-mail for a ECM .
While I am at it..........can you unplug the EGR on an LMM like the older models and not fool with a blocker plate ? Seems like I read these LMM's are a bitch to put a blocker plate on.
O.K. Just pulled out my LLY exhaust and it looks like from the connector in front of the cat to the front of the muffler on both is the same length. I think I can cut the cat out and weld a stright pipe in it's place and weld a flange on the end at the muffler and be done with the exhaust.
What would I have to do with the 2 lines that come in before and after the DPF? Can I just loop them/block them off ??
Can I buy a flange anywhere that fits the muffler or do I just need to have one made ?
