The down pipe is about 10" long and attaches to the pipe pictured. That pipe right there (pic) comes off the TURBO...so its the front pipe??? I would imagine its the down pipe! So it goes Turbo, front pipe, down pipe then exhaust? And I quote from the mag "The down pipe from the turbo is much bigger and smoother than stock. There's no catalytic converter either, which is only required in certain states, like california. Turbo, down pipe, front pipe, cat back, tips. the front pipe is called the front pipe because its the front most pipe. THe down pipe is called the down pipe because it comes directly down off the turbo and connects to the front pipe. like I said..99% of the manufactures call it a down pipe, its very common..but wrong.. It was on a duramax that was i think pulled out of a truck and was going into a suburban (or something like that). any way the motor was out hanging on a stand and you could get a good look at the down pipe. | ||
