(I think search is broken. couldn't find this: searched P0355, 0355, crank)
Last weekend, 500 miles from home, my truck threw P0355, Crank position Sensor. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in when convenient since the truck is running. I'll take it in this week but want to make sure this sensor doesn't go out on the next trip and leave me on the side of the road.
I pulled hard two days before in hot weather (14K trailer, 95-102 degrees in mountains (6%)) 2004, lb7, allison, 52000 miles. Predator 40hp tune.
On the previous day, my daughter half started the engine when turning the key to put up the windows. When we got in the truck that day, I had lost prime on the fuel pump. (need to tighten fuel filter a little) I cleared the code and have not seen it again.
Was this just a fluke? Is the sensor covered under the 100K warranty? Can I get them to replace it if it is currently working? Where is the sensor?
