):h I LOVE my truck. I picked it up Saturday afternoon and have put 300 miles on it since. I freakin' LOVE this truck.
I have owned dozens of trucks, mostly new Chevys. This is my first diesel. I hadn't really driven one before I bought it, the dealer had NONE in stock thanks to the Family Plan prices.
I am floored at how solid it feels, way better than my 2004 2500HD. It is really quick, it has so much peddle left when getting on the freeway. It just gets up to speed with no effort, unlike my 6.0. (I did like my old truck but it was a 2wd, I need a 4x4 now) The tranny is awesome!
I just had to post about it. I checked this site when I was looking into the D/max and it was a help. I was stressed about some of the heating issues, etc. I don't care what needs to be fixed on this truck, it is worth it. I LOVE it! :ro)
If you are thinking of getting one, my vote is YES!
Now the only problem is the mods. I have exhaust ordered, but that is no big deal. (cat back) I saw one at the dealer with a Fab Tech lift w/ 37x 12.50 x 17's, that truck looked awesome! Even my wife liked it and said I should drop the cash to get it done.
My problem is that I love this truck so much I don't want to change it. I don't want to loose power, ride, etc. It is just too nice to mess with. BUT, it sits dorky and has little tires. There is my dilema... need to research the lifts more.
BTW- I was very close to buying a new F350 before this Chevy, I drove it and really liked it BUT I am soooooo much happier with this Chevy. It does not look as tough but it drives a lot nicer than the F series. (feels much meaner behind the wheel)
