Hello All,

I'm brand new to this forum and y'all pretty cool.

Obviously, I already have a tricky question:
I wanna run B100 in my 2010 6.6 Silverado and therefore need to delete the DPF. I don't want to additionally tune it.
What's involved and what do I need?

Btw: (hold back the eggs now) what does the [LMM] stand for?

Thomas

Welcome,

run a search on dpf delete. You will get some mixed opinions on whether you will want a tuner or not. LMM is just the engine code from the vin.

It basically comes down to this. If you want to run anything higher than B5, or any extra ponies, you need to remove the dpf which requires you to reprogram the ecm to not have a regen cycle which then voids your powertrain warranty.

If you want to remove the DPF, you need to tune the truck with the proper electronics. Theres no way around it, unfortunately.

Watch that engine oil level on B100 so you don't find an extra # qts. of oil on dipstick from not being burned off. I keep finding this complaint with all forums now and then as a guy goes oh crap where did that come from. I guess many run B100 down south etc. and love it I just don't want the problem.

I am in CO running B100-and have for about 60 gallons now. Truck is SO much quieter and smoother. I still have my DPF, and oil level hasn't changed at all. Oil change #1 takes place later this week so I'll see what the Blackstone has to say.

BTW, truck started fine on Monday when it was 35 degrees outside at our cabin (running B100)

If you don't want to add any power or you can add power and yet delete the dpf you can only do that with an efi live programmer and then there are some good programmers around here that can make you a program for it.. Warranty is and will be void at that time for motor and power train. I run B20 many many times and have no problem with anything with my dpf on and have done oil testing at 3,500 miles it had 1% they say not to allow it to go over 5% but that is way to much for me. Get the dpf off soon as you are comfortable with out your warranty./
