Anyone know if GM addressed the transfer case rub issue and did anything to prevent a failure in the 2011 models?

Thx

IIRC, I think they corrected that problem in the 2008 model year.

Totally different T-case. I dont think we will have problems with pump rub.

Will they fit in place of a 261/263?

No, and so far they have a higher failure rate.

Seriously? That's really bad, cause I'm on the 3rd front case half in about 18mo on my 261. I was hoping for a better option.

Trey, shut up. The case was designed by Magna Powertrain (same company that makes your FORD transfer case), not "government motors" (is that ever going to get old?) so take it up with MP.

Tony, what is failing on the new xfer cases? I have not heard of any problems with them.

Ben

Ben

Is that the same Magna that is part of Magna International, the company owned or was owned by Frank Stronach, which is a major parts supplier to the Automotive Industry??
