2007 LBZ 155K, stock truck, with 90HP tune. This is a lot of smoke, and exhaust also smells really bad.... Truck seems to run fine other than that
It's knocked, and smoked blue/grey before, but injetor cleaner cleared it up.:confused:

Could be bad injectors, bad turbo, bad egr...

The tune is going to give you black smoke due to the increase in fuel delivery to get 90 more Hp. I know when mine is stock no black smoke...when I add the tune, I get black smoke.

It's the black smoke at idle that bothers me. I removed the tune, cleaned the MAFS, and it still does it... It's so when Im sitting at a stoplight you can see the smoke blowing around the front of the truck, at night it's really bad. Heading out to Ca in the morning, 1200MI trip. When I get there the fuel rails, injectors, and Cp3 are going to get changed. Hope it makes it. Wish me luck... lol

I had this problem, but mine is stock. The dealer told me to change out my fuel filter, which is going on one year of use now and about 10K miles of towing and around town use.
I haven't tried it yet, but he was fairly sure it would work. He claimed the smoke was caused by the clogged filter creating a low pressure on the fuel rail side, thus calling for more fuel and creating smoke. Sounds a little sketchy to me, but it can't hurt to try and change it out.

I noticed my truck does this also at idle even before I changed the tune. I do have to change the fuel filter today. I'm gonna keep an eye on it to see if it clears or not.

Just changed mine today, and surprisingly, the exhaust smells different. Not sure if that is less unburned fuel, or what. I haven't been able to check out if I have any smoke still coming out at idle though. I'll keep an eye out for it this week to see if any improvements were made.
