I'm wanting to add a 12 volt outlet inside the 40/20/40 flip up console lid to charge cell phones etc. Has anyone done this? I'm looking for ideas -

It looks like you could just knock the existing hole out and install one from a GM donor vehicle easy enough. You could just run it direct to battery with an inline fuse - or run it to the fuse block, but I'd still install an inline fuse behind the outlet.

I thought about it but havnt done anything, there is a plug inside my console..I think you might be able to punch it out..let me check, Its pretty solid, I am not sure it it comes out or not...but running the lines would be easy.

I don't see the "punch out" you are referring to. Where is it supposed to be? Maybe I'm just blind. I'm going to pull outside the garage and look in the sunlight...
